Print Technology

There are a wide variety of printers in the market. Whenever you want a printer for your use, it becomes difficult to select. So this blog will help you to select correct printer for your purpose. 

There are four types of printing technology. Dot Matrix(DMP), Thermal, Inkjet and the last is Laser. All these technologies have their advantages and disadvantages. So let us understand these one by one.

Dot Matrix is one of the oldest print technology. If you remember, when we used to go railway counters for reservation, there we find Dot Matrix printer. These printers have a Print Head with some pins(9 or 24), which fire on the paper through aa ribbon to form a character. The main advantage of this technology is that it is one of the most cheapest print technology in terms of per page printing cost. The disadvantage is that it is very slow, only black in color, can not print graphics and print quality is also very poor.
